A world-ranked list of 121 of the best educators includes Sukh Sandhu and Raj Kiran
In recognition of their dedication to teaching and education, as well as their continuous involvement in social service and literature, two of our staff members received the Award of Honor on October 5th from the Ontario Friends Club Canada and International Peace Heritage and Environment Welfare Organization Canada. Raj Kiran and Sukh Sandhu were selected out of 121 teachers worldwide. The profiles of Sukh Sandhu and Raj Kiran can be found down below.
Sukh Sandhu
Sukh has worked as a teacher for more than 25 years. Sukh has taught at both the senior secondary school and university level, and have worked with a number of Indian, USA and Australian educational institutions and universities. Sukh has been recognised for his excellence in teaching through several awards and recognitions. In addition to his teaching experience, he has also completed two MBAs, three Masters in IT, many Advanced Diplomas and Graduate Diplomas in Education and Advanced Technologies.
Raj Kiran
Raj Kiran has taught students at vocational education and under graduate levels. She has over 15 years of teaching experience. She is currently working with Australia's most reputed educational institutes and Universities. She is currently teaching nursing, medical science, aged care, community care and a number of other courses.
Biodata and nominations were requested until 30 September 2022, and 121 teachers were selected by the selection committee (including Chairman Ravinder Singh Kang, Convener: Dr. Naib Singh Mander, Punjab President: Deep Rathi, Secretary: Dr. Amanpreet Kaur Kang, Women's Wing Patron: Kanwaljit Kaur Kochhar USA, Women's Wing President: Shaira Kulwant Kaur Chan France, Coordinator: Pawanjit Kaur).
All of these teachers represent different teaching styles and methods from around the world. All of them, however, share one common characteristic: a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping their students succeed. To engage their students and promote learning, these teachers employ a variety of methods. A combination of technology and hands-on activities in the classroom, as well as classroom environment conducive to learning, are some of these methods. They also go above and beyond to ensure their students have the best possible classroom experience.
A web-conference on the role of teachers in the current world situation will be held on October 11 at 7:30 Indian time, 10 AM Canada time and 1 AM Australian time, jointly organised by the Ontario Friends Club and the International Peace Heritage and Environment Welfare Organization Canada.
Their accomplishments just go to show how much they care about their students and their profession.
