The Albanese Government has introduced legislation to establish Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) to address the urgent skills crisis.

In response to the urgent skills crisis, the Albanese Government is introducing legislation to establish Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA).

It is the first piece of legislation introduced by the Albanese Government that establishes Jobs and Skills Australia - a new independent agency that provides advice to the government on how to improve jobs and skills and increase economic growth.

To ensure a shared understanding of the key issues facing Australia's labour market, the JSA works closely with state and territory governments, industry, employers, trade unions, and training providers.

A critical priority of the new government is skills and training, according to Minister Brendan O'Connor.
